We are a professional organization of licensed nurses devoted to building nurse leaders and promoting a healthy community around us. We provide a platform for continuous education, perfection in learning, and support for nurses and allied health professionals. Dedicated to serving our community, Wichita Black Nurses Association has come together to fight for the rights of people of color and other minority groups when it comes to equality in the deliverance of medical services. At WBNA, we believe that healthcare is a basic human right that everybody should have access to regardless of the color of their skin, social class, heritage, or wealth.
WBNA provides a forum for African American Nurses to collectively advocate for strategies that ensure access to the highest quality of healthcare to people of color in the Wichita Area and the State of Kansas as a whole.
We consider ourselves the CLASs of our city and community. Through Care, Leadership, Advocacy and Service to our community, our programs are tailored to cause the advancement of activism in our Wichita community, while giving a voice to the black and brown community. Founded with the spirit of togetherness and excellence, we are ready to pursue equality in healthcare for all, relentlessly. Our advocacy programs are aimed at educating and impacting.
